Artboss– the brainchild of Denver area-based artist entrepreneurs Jessica Loving-Campos and Julia Rymer– wants to do something different for Colorado’s creatives. Artists, designers, writers, and photographers are all creative professionals and entrepreneurs, but the usual social media advice and general small business resources aren’t targeted to their unique needs. Add in that art school- let’s face it- often does not prepare graduating students for the realities of running a real business selling art, design, photos or writing, and you have many creatives able to make their work, but unable to get it out into the world. Artboss looks to bridge that gap, and take the guesswork out of building a creative business.

Jessica and Julia joined forces in 2017 after noticing their fellow creatives struggling with their businesses, and founded artboss. As artists themselves, they get the struggle of balancing creative work with their entrepreneurial goals. And they are both moms, learning to balance the overwhelm that comes from being a passionate creative and a parent.

Artboss workshops and one-on-one coaching packages provide instruction in communication strategies, social media, marketing, and networking, as well as learning work/life balance and developing community among creatives. Their first workshop takes place this April in Denver.

Jessica is the co-founder of (in)spiregraphics, a full-service web, design, branding and marketing firm that serves clients nationwide. She is also a talented painter with gallery representation in Denver and Santa Fe, and work featured in numerous corporate and private collections.

Julia is a visual artist whose background also includes several years working in galleries, and as an art professor, social media consultant, and small business manager. Her work is in collections throughout the US and is represented by galleries coast to coast as well as the lifestyle brand Serena & Lily.

Artboss’ first immersion workshop will take place on Saturday, April 21st at Collective SML | k, located at 430 Santa Fe Drive in Denver. The workshop is $375, with an early bird discount of $50 off before March 21st, and includes a full day of instruction, meals, connection with fellow creatives, and a gentle yoga class to round out the day.

Their launch party is on March 1st from 5:30-7:30 pm, and will also take place at 430 Santa Fe Drive. It is co-hosted by Odessa Denver. RSVP to hello@artboss.co.
